Can I pre-allocate my seat for domestic flights?

Yes, Qantas and Virgin Blue allow you to pre-allocate your seating and print your boarding pass up to 24 hours prior to departure.

 

Can I pre-allocate my seat for international flights?

Yes, most airlines allow pre-allocation of seating though this is always subject to change at all times and it strictly controlled by the airlines.

 

How much luggage can I check in for international flights?

This varies dependant on the airline you are flying with, where you are flying to, and what type of airfare has been purchased. As a general rule for all flights except USA, allowances are 20kg for economy, 30kg for Business Class and 40kg for First Class.

 

Are there any restrictions on what I can take as carry on luggage?
Yes, most airlines have strict weight restrictions, limited to one carry on luggage item not exceeding 7 kg. The Australian government also prohibits certain liquids and aerosols to be carried on board an aircraft

 

What countries require a Visa for Australian Passport Holders?

This varies and changes frequently dependant on the country you are visiting. Check with your Concierge BT advisor for details.

 

What hotel rates can I access through Concierge BT?  

We have access to the best available hotel rates in Australia and overseas whether it be our affiliations with leading travel groups or the best rate of the day.

 
How many passengers do I need to gain a group discount?

This varies between airlines, though most require at least 10 passengers to gain access to group discounts.

 

Do I need a copy of my e-ticket to check in? 

For domestic flights, you do not require a copy of your e-ticket receipt, though for international flights, Concierge BT recommends you keep a copy with you at all times. 

 

Can a Qantas ticket that has been cancelled and placed into credit be transferred to another traveller?

No, all Qantas non refundable airfare types are non transferrable, though if the traveller holding the credit has left the company, Concierge BT can apply to Qantas for authority re-use the ticket. Conditions apply. 

 

Can a Virgin Blue ticket that has been cancelled and placed into credit be transferred to another traveller?
All Virgin Blue credits can be transferred to any new booking on the Virgin Blue network.
