Concorde Re-Born

British Airways has recently launched a new Concorde style service between London City and New York. The service, which commences 29th September 2009 will be operated by an A318 aircraft and will have 32 business class seats only. It will be the first ever such service departing from London City services and has some great benefits including:

- London City is the closest airport to Central London
- Check in 15 minutes prior with no baggage
- US Customs and Immigration procedures completed enroute to New York (see below)
 
Enroute from London, the aircraft will stop at Shannon, Ireland for refueling. At this point, all travellers will clear US Customs & Immigration at Shannon, avoiding this procedure in New York.
