Belkin offers an extensive range of innovations designed to give computer electronics users seamless integration in their homes, cars, and on the go. With an extensive sales force on the road working with customers, Belkin’s travel  spend needed to be reduced.

 

Objectives:

  • Increase discount fare usage
  • Implement a more streamlined approval process
  • Ensure changes did not impact on Belkin staff to adversely

Key insights: 

  • As a long standing client, Concierge BT had an understanding of Belkin travel patterns. In collaboration with Belkin, we worked through the many issues that arose from the change of policy that was to be implemented.

Strategy:

  • New Booking form for all travel
  • Reviewed different booking methods
  • Establish cost saving opportunity of new policy
  • Determine variables to policy (changes, after hours, international)
  • Determine outcomes for 14 days advance purchase (authorisation from MD required)

Results:

  • 10% Increase of bookings made within 14 days (35% to 45%)
  • Average days booked in advance up 33% (13.33 Days to 17.77 Days)
  • Use of Discount Fares up 43% (49% to 70%)
